Q. Will cloudLibrary work on my device?
If you have one of the devices listed below, you will be able to download and use the cloudLibrary app:
• Android devices
• iOS devices
• Laptop and desktop computers (Mac, Windows, & ChromeOS)
• Nook eReaders and tablets
• Kobo eReaders
• Kindle Fire* (second generation or newer)
We are sorry, but Kindle eInk readers and any Kindle Fires released prior to the 2nd generation devices are not compatible with cloudLibrary. Amazon, the manufacturer of Kindles, has not partnered with any library vendors besides OverDrive. Because Kindle eInk devices operate on a proprietary operating system, they are unable to read ePUB files. Most eBook services, including cloudLibrary, use ePUB files.
*cloudLibrary is not an Amazon-supported app. Click here for instructions on installing cloudLibrary to a Kindle Fire device.
